Every parent knows the airport moment: the toddler is tired, the suitcase tips over, and the contents end up across the terminal floor. Kids' luggage has to survive that — and the drop, the dragging, and the juice-box incidents that come with it.
That's the thinking behind our new generation kids suitcase. We built it around one material decision and a handful of details that only make sense if you've watched a family travel.
The Shell: German Covestro PC 3113
This new generation suitcase is made of German Covestro PC 3113 material, which is considered one of the highest-grade polycarbonate materials on the market. The material is environmentally friendly, highly durable, and provides excellent toughness and impact resistance.
For a kids' case, that toughness isn't a luxury feature. It's the difference between a suitcase that survives being sat on, kicked under a seat, and hurled onto a baggage carousel — and one that cracks on the second trip.
Design Details That Actually Matter for Families
The suitcase adopts a front-opening design, making the structure more practical and allowing users to access belongings more conveniently without opening the entire case. When you're digging out a snack mid-security-line, that access matters.
It also features an ultra-thin cup holder structure with a thickness of only 3mm, helping to optimize space usage. The size of the suitcase is 40 × 27.5 × 50 cm.
- Back panel: matte textured finish to improve scratch resistance — kids' cases get dragged, a lot
- Back cover: semi-transparent and color-matched with the main shell, giving the product a modern appearance
- Trolley handle: downward grip ergonomic design for more comfortable handling
- Bottom: equipped with a grab handle for easier lifting
- Shell material: soft-touch grade instead of hard material, to reduce the risk of injury and make it safer for family use
That last point is one I'm personally stubborn about. A hard, sharp-edged kids' suitcase is a head-height hazard in a busy aisle. The soft-touch grade trades a little gloss for a lot of safety — an easy trade in my book.
Inside: Built for Real Kid Stuff
- Wet and dry separation compartment — suitable for storing wet clothes, such as baby clothing
- Insulated pocket — made with aluminum foil material for temperature protection
- Moisture-resistant security pocket — made of 2.5mm nylon material to prevent dirt or liquid penetration
- Interior lining — peach skin velvet fabric (0.8g), providing a soft, smooth touch that resists dirt
Compared with the previous generation, the overall weight has been reduced by 3.7 kg, making it lighter and easier to carry while maintaining durability. For a parent already carrying a backpack, a stroller, and a child, 3.7 kg less is a real difference.
Another Luggage in the Lineup
Beyond this kids' model, we also make ultra-lightweight suitcases built with environmentally friendly new materials. The most classic of these is the 8810 suitcase, which has collaborated with many major brands and has been recognized by the market. If you're a brand looking for a proven ultra-lightweight platform, that's the one to ask about first.
The Bottom Line
A kids' suitcase earns its place the same way a parent does: by showing up reliably under pressure. The Covestro PC 3113 shell handles the impacts, the front-opening design handles the chaos, and the wet/dry compartment handles the rest. If you're sourcing a children's luggage line, these are the details worth putting in your spec sheet — and worth asking any factory about before you commit.
